Il admit it, a few years ago when ripped jeans first came back onto the scene, I wasn’t really a fan and I thought it was too young for me and frankly a bit tacky.
It wasn’t until last summer that I discovered the way to rock this trend without looking too “try hard” and like every other person out there with ripped jeans on.
I discovered that in order to make this trend work for me, I need to incorporate it into a tailored and grown up look. Adding a crisp white shirt and a flattering blazer will make me look less “hot mess” and more Kate Moss! This is a look that worked well for me during 2016 and is set to be a winner again in 2017😄
The best thing about this style is its versatility. You can add a pair of fresh white Adidas Superstars to go shopping with the girls, or add some killer Valentino Rockstuds for a cool evening outfit that will keep you suitably warm and looking fashionable and sophisticated during the cool British evenings!
Alternating between light and dark distressed denim can also alter the vibe of the outfit, so you just need a few investment pieces to create a dynamic wardrobe that works with you not against you. You will never scream “I have nothing to wear!!!!!!” again! Ok, I can’t promise the last part but last summer/autumn this was my “go to” look, and I am already starting to work it back into my wardrobe for 2017.
Let me know in the comment section whether you also love this style and whether this will be your go-to look this spring!!
